Anti Aging Your Feet

Repair and Rejuvenate!

Normally, in your day to day life, it is just not practical to go without shoes and socks. Therefore, your feet are likely suffocating in shoes, socks and possibly stockings for many consecutive hours.

At the end of your day those same feet are sweaty, tired, sore and may have quite an unpleasant odor.

The sweat on your feet is actually sterile and odorless. It is the bacteria on your skin that grow in the sweat that produce the odor.

Soothe and relax your hard working feet

Take a few minutes to anti age your feet, before you go on to your other job of looking after your home and family.

  • fill a footbath or bathtub with warm water deep enough to cover your feet
  • add bath salts, sea salt or Epsom salts
  • add a few drops of bath oil or olive oil
  • slip your weary tootsies in and soak for 8 - 10 minutes

After 8 - 10 minutes

  • remove from footbath or bathtub
  • rest them on a clean towel
  • dry thoroughly, particularly between your toes
  • apply clean, pure body cream and massage the cream over your entire foot - toes, heels and everything in between

Slip on a pair of cotton socks, a pair of comfy shoes and you are ready to go.

Anti Aging Your Feet is a session of the Anti Aging Guide dedicated to teaching you how to stop feeling too embarrassed to expose those neglected, unsightly feet, and become delighted to show off your smooth, soft, well-cared for feet.

The result of regularly anti aging your feet.

Pamper your feet with a regular pedicure. Your feet will show their appreciation by looking and feeling terrific.

What do I need to give myself a pedicure?

That's easy. Just pick up those two paks you created for your manicure.
(And you did, didn't you?)

Drop a pumice stone, a sponge toe separator and nail scrubber into pak #1 and you are good to go.

Of course, you also need a footbath or bathtub with warm, soapy water to soften those corns, calluses and toenails.

Preparing your toenails

Confining your feet in shoes all day can cause your toenails to become
discolored ,thick and tough, with overgrown cuticles on the nail.

  • Remove any nail polish with a cotton pad soaked with polish remover.
  • Slip your feet into that footbath or bathtub of warm, soapy water for 5 - 8 minutes.
  • Pat your feet dry with a hand towel or paper towel, ensuring the skin between your toes is dry.
  • Trim any hangnails with your clippers, however never, ever cut your cuticle.
  • Trim your toenails straight across using nail clippers. Avoid
clipping the edges. The shape of your nail bed is a perfect guide. (Ingrown toe nails are often the result of clipping the edges of your toenail.)
  • Use an emery board to file nails straight across, in one direction only.
  • Use the buffing block to smooth out any rough spots on top of your nails.

Pampering your feet

Dry cracked skin, corns, callouses and sometimes bunions are the result of your shoes constantly rubbing your feet as you go about your day.

Your heels, the balls of your feet and your toes may all show signs of wear and tear.

If the tough, hard skin, corns or callouses are not soft yet, you may need to slip your feet back into the footbath or bathtub of clean, warm soapy water for a few extra minutes.

  • Pat your feet dry, again ensuring the skin between your toes is dry.
  • Rub the pumice stone gently over those areas where the skin is particularly rough. Depending on the degree of roughness it may take several pedicures to smooth those areas. (You do not want to break the skin by using very abrasive tools and risk infection)
  • Use the nail brush to clean around and under your toenails.
  • Sprinkle body powder over your feet.

Massaging your feet

Massage your powdered feet to increase flexibility and circulation. Using your fingers and thumbs rub in a circular motion.

Begin with the soles of your feet, then move onto the sides and toes.

Massage each individual toe

To maintain flexibility - rotate each foot in a circular motion a few times to the right and to the left.

  • Rinse your feet to remove powder and any dead, dry skin.
  • Apply moisturizer to your feet -- toenails and cuticles, thoroughly massage around the nail beds.
  • Slather your heels with a clean, pure body cream.
  • Push back those cuticles with a towel or orange stick.

If you do not wish to color your nails -- slip on some cotton socks, comfortable shoes and relax.

Otherwise your toes are ready for color.

Coloring your toenails

Since your toes may be inclined to touch one another, it is a good idea to slip a sponge toe separator in between each toe. This will prevent any smudges when you are painting your toenails.

Remove all the moisturizer from your toenails with a clean cloth so nail polish does not bubble.

  • Choose a nail color that is the same as your fingernails or a complimentary color.
  • Apply one or two coats of nail polish to your nails (ensure previous coat of polish is dry before applying the next coat)
  • Touch up any errant polish with a Q-tip soaked with polish remover.
  • Finish with a top coat to protect your toenail color from chipping

Coloring your toenails anti ages your feet. Notice how good your feet look.

Your feet are exposed during many everyday activities:

  • wearing open shoes
  • walking on the beach
  • relaxing at home
  • receiving health care

Show them off!

Anti Aging Secret

Once or twice a week after washing and rinsing your feet, massage a scoop of salt glow over your feet. Rinse off when finished, pat your feet dry. Finish with body cream.

You will notice a lovely warm feeling from the increased circulation and those rough spots are smoother.

Note: If your feet have any blisters or rashes avoid using the salt glow as it will sting.
