Anti Aging Supplements
Do Just That...
Supplement!

You also need to eat whole food! Anti aging supplements cannot replace the nutritional value that you get from whole foods.  You take them to supplement your nutritional needs.

In an ideal world our food would be grown in soil that has not been depleted of nutrients. Therefore, the produce grown in that soil would likely contain all the nutrients your body requires to maintain optimum health.

We live in the real world, where our soil has been depleted and is not as rich as it was in the past.

Supplementing  your anti aging food plan is a wise decision.

Let's begin with the micro-nutrients--vitamins and minerals

What is a vitamin?

Vitamins are naturally produced compounds that are required as nutrients for your body to function properly.  Unless synthetic, vitamins are food substances derived from plants and animals.

Your body produces numerous organic compounds, but if it is unable to create enough of a necessary compound to meet its own needs, anti aging supplements may be required.

Every vitamin may be found naturally in specific foods. Although you could possibly acquire all the needed nutrients through your diet, it is unlikely that you could regularly meet the required amounts of every vitamin, every day.

There are two types of vitamins: water-soluble and fat-soluble.

Water-soluble vitamins

Water-soluble vitamins are not stored within your body and can be flushed out easily. They need to be replenished on a daily basis either through food or supplements.

The water-soluble vitamins are B-Complex, C, and P.

Fat-soluble vitamins

Fat-soluble vitamins are stored in your fat cells.  They are used by your body only when they are needed.

Excessive amounts of fat soluble vitamins can reach toxic levels in the body and lead to physical problems.

The fat soluble vitamins are A, D, E, F, and K.

What is a Mineral?

Your body cannot manufacture minerals. They are only found in the whole foods that you eat or by taking anti aging supplements.

Eggs, dairy products, meats, fruits and vegetables all contain specific vitamins and minerals. However, like vitamins, the nutritional value of many of the foods containing the minerals you need is depleted.

Some of the minerals and sources of these minerals that your body needs are:

Calcium - milk, cheese, molasses, yogurt, almonds
Chromium - clams, whole grain cereals
Copper - nuts, seafood, raisin, avocado
Iodine - seafood, iodized sea salt
Iron - eggs, fish, poultry, wheat germ, shredded wheat
Magnesium - bran, honey, spinach, peanuts, tuna fish
Manganese - bananas, celery, green leafy vegetables, nuts, pineapple
Phosphorus - eggs, fish, grains, meat, poultry
Potassium - dates, figs, peaches, tomatoe juice, bananas, potatoes, sunflower seeds
Selenium - fish, animal meats, eggs, whole grain, brown rice, lobster
Sodium - salt, milk, cheese, seafood
Zinc - seafood, soybeans, spinach, sunflower seeds, mushrooms

How do I know if I need to take anti aging supplements?

So many things in our lifestyle affect the nutrient quality of our food.

Although you know that preparing whole food for yourself and your family is the best source of nutrition, a hectic schedule often drives your food choices.

Fast and easy is usually the mandate for those days.

Just as a matter of interest make a quick note, on your calendar, of the days that you--

  • prepare and serve processed food
  • pick up take-out for dinner
  • eat out at restaurants

You may be surprised at the frequency.

Most of these foods are severely depleted in vitamins and minerals.

Processed foods may also be genetically modified which often contributes to their lack of nutritional value.

Anti Aging Secret

Living and working at the pace we set for ourselves today, taking pure, potent anti aging supplements is equivalent to taking out insurance to ensure you are providing the nutrients that your body requires for growth, repair and energy.

What is a good anti aging supplement?

Vitamins and minerals are essential to our daily lives. They are involved in every process that goes on within your body.

Lacking in any one of these micro-nutrients prevents your body from functioning at top performance. However, nutrients are potentially toxic when taken in large amounts.  Safe levels vary widely from nutrient to nutrient and may vary with your age and health.

An evaluation by your health provider is an excellent starting point when beginning an anti aging supplement program.  Prior to your appointment record the reasons you believe that you need to take supplements.

Although taking a daily multi-vitamin that has a good balance of nutrients is a reasonable choice, your very best choice is superfood.

How do I know if a company is reputable?

Be sure that you trust the company that manufactures your vitamin products or superfood. Select a company that has a sound reputation for providing you with a product that contains the ingredients and potency that are listed on the label, fully and completely.

You also want to purchase superfood products that are pure (certified organic), and completely free of contaminants.

How do I know which anti aging supplements will help me?

Your health provider may be your best resource when determining your need of a vitamin and mineral supplement. However, do not hesitate to get a second opinion if your health provider suggests that your are getting all the nutrients that you need from your daily intake of food.

Your Doctor's training may have included very little information regarding nutrition.

To receive the best result from you appointment with your health care provider--

  • prepare a list of the symptoms that you feel may be improved with vitamins
  • copy and print the supplement facts of the health product that you believe will work for you
  • take this information with you to your appointment.

During your discussion, your Physician may discover that the symptoms on your list indicate something that you had not thought or known about.  Your Health Care Provider may suggest an alternative process to assist you in reaching your goal of optimal health.

You should leave your appointment with sound direction to your next steps on the road to optimal health. If you come away from your visit feeling unsure of how to proceed, do setup an appointment with another Health Provider, one who has a reputation for providing natural, enlightened health care.

Do not be discouraged, you are on a mission to acquire optimal health and sometimes it takes more than just a little tenacity.
